DescriptionMy paper is about how positive and negative affect change after thinking about goals. Hence, the participants were divided into two groups – 1. participants who were involved in process thinking task (where they had to write steps to achieve their goals) and 2. participants who were involved in future thinking/ outcome thinking task (where they had to write how they would feel if they have achieved their goals). Another component this paper analysis’s is whether or not the level of rumination affects mood. The analysis for the data has been conducted, where in, mixed anova was used to analyse the interaction between time 1 and time 2 for positive and negative affect between the two groups. Linear Regression was conducted to analyse how rumination was predicting mood.
