Mythology mind maps+ paragraphs

DescriptionThis assignment is an in-class assignment where students will compare and evaluate the origin myths. The assignment will compare and contrast origin myths, evaluating their contemporary implications (DBR 200.3).Students choose three origin stories from the DBRG 200 multi-touch book. These are chapters 2 through 7 in your multi-touch book for our class. After reading each chapter, students will create a mind map for each chapter that maps out the main lesson(s) of the story, the values the story portrays, and any supporting details connected to the lessons. Most origin stories have cautionary tales to prevent a great harm to the community. If possible, identify these ‘harms’ that the tale is meant to prevent.Students will write a short two paragraph response to the three mind maps. The first paragraph compares and contrasts the three origin myths from the maps. The second paragraph writes a reflection about the present day, what cautionary tales should be told to the next generation to prevent the current problems that society has today. The second paragraph should include features from the origin stories read to support the claims made in the second paragraph. Proper APA7 citation needed for direct and indirect quotes and paraphrasing. Written work should be double spaced, Calibri 11 pt font, and a bibliography.
