DescriptionPresentation Of Self and Privacy In Social Media, Its Individual and Social Meaning: A Sociological EvaluationProblem:In social media environments, people present their ‘selves’ and their privacy in various ways. Can this very common trend be addressed on the basis of Erving Gofmann’s conceptual approach? How can it be handled? In social media environments, when people present their privacy and self, what motivations do they basically do? What kind of strategies, tactics and performances do they exhibit while doing this, and what they actually do through these presentations, what they tell with their performances, what kind of satisfaction they provide? Also, a few direct quotes, again, not too many.
