Within each Category of Resource, you will select 3 to 5 current sources from the discipline affiliated with your major or future career and create a report. You will also include the characteristics of the specific sources you picked as exampleswhat makes them authoritative, credible sources in your discipline? What are their purposes and who are their intended audiences? How are they publishedin paper, online, through social media? What are the characteristics of the Popular and Trade sources and how are they different from the authoritative sources? The information you provide in your report will include examples from the sources, so properly cite all borrowed ideas and material. Your report should inform your audience about credible and popular sources affiliated with your discipline.Resources vs Sources. To be clear, you are using the larger categories of Resources (Scholarly, Trade, and Popular) to help you report and analyze sources not articles. Sources for this assignment are larger works from which information comes. These may be journals, magazines, websites, or various accounts on social media.Audience. Write this for your peers in this class who may be in your same discipline. Use this report as a way to build a list of credible sources from your discipline that you can go back to for future assignments and popular sources you can explore for information to investigate in the authoritative sources.Format. For this assignment you will use APA format. Title page, Abstract, and References are not counted in the length of your assignment. The content of your analysis should be approximately 3 pages. As you will need specific examples, please include a Reference page and cite in-text when using specific language/information from sources.Content.
